Josephine Garis Cochrane was the inventor of  the first dishwasher. She was born in 1839 in America. She was a rich woman and she had parties at her house. She didn’t wash the dishes after the parties because she had servants. The servants weren’t fast and they usually broke the plates. So, she wanted a machine to wash the dishes faster. She worked hard and invented the dishwasher. In 1893,  she showed her invention in Chicago and won the biggest award. (dishwasher: bulaşık makinası   servant: hizmetçi    plate: tabak    (broke) break: kırmak)
